Holocaust

Holocaust. A word of Greek origin, meaning sacrifice by fire. During the Holocaust, Nazis targeted Jews and many other groups who were described as racially wanting(p) or those who did not abide with political, ideological, and behavioral grounds. Nazis began to wipe split these groups through genocide the deliberate destruction of an entire heathenish or ethnic group; and by the end of the Holocaust, 6 to 8 million Jews were eradicated. However, this number does not include the amount of other groups that have been eliminated throughout the entire Holocaust era. Hitlers rise to power initiated a time of bran- crude goal and a myriad of propaganda for Nazi ideology. One of these newly implemented ideals was anti-Semitism the discrimination or hostility towards Jews. Later on, new policies were passed restricting a Jews freedom in Germany. In April 1933, Jews are restrained from attending German school and universities; and the betrothal of Jews in medical and legal professions is prohibited. In addition, the Nuremberg Laws were set in motion. These laws prevented German Jews from Reich citizenship and prohibited them from marrying or having sexual relations with anyone of German blood. Edward Adler, a Jew living in Hamburg, Germany was arrested dating a non-Jewish woman. He later explains that he got six months in prison, solitary cypher in 1935 and he was later deported to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp where he was forced to operate in construction projects. Hitler did not rend these atrocities and enforce policies all on his own.
